Pre-Graduation Thoughts Part II - FYP over

Just finished my presentation for my Final Year Project, which means there is only 1 last obstacle between me and graduation. My final exam paper is on Saturday 1pm, SC2215, Sociology of Food. Seriously torn between studying or just chilling, after all, I can simply S/U (pass/fail) this module. Then again I hate it when I go for an exam and have not felt sufficiently prepared… ah well gotta study then.

2 more days and I’ll be through!

Time really does fly…. 4.5 years in NUS is almost coming to a close. In another 3 days, I will be doing my presentation on my final year thesis, and then 2 more days after that its my one and only examination paper. (which I can S/U somemore) In 5 more days… just 5 more days, university life as I known is going to come to an end. Then its off for my graduation trip and to discover what the future holds for me post graduation.

Somehow this feeling is quite surreal, its the ending of a very significant chapter of my life story. The people I met, the things I did while in university definitely had a significant impact on who I am today. No regrets going to NUS, although when I first started university I was pretty upset about not getting a scholarship to go Cornell to study. Then again, if not for that, I would not have gone to NUS Chemical Engineering, would not have gone on the NOC programme, would not have started Energy Carta and did the Asian Youth Energy Summit, would not have met all the people I have met in the past 4.5 years. Not just my fellow chemical engineering classmates and friends, but also friends from the NOC programme, the bloggers I met through ping.sg and other blogger events, friends from gaming (DAOC/WOW/battlestations) and people I met as I stumbled along with life.
Ok enough ranting, time to hunker down and study, last paper, there is no way I am going to let myself screw this up. (Typical chemical engineering mugger trait)

FINALLY….. I am back!

I think its been almost 2 months since i actually did a proper blog post… been too busy with my Final Year Thesis and organising the Asian Youth Energy Summit 2008. (more on this is later blogposts)

Well at least now I am sort of back! Can start blogging on a regular basis again (maybe 1-2 times a week). Then MIA again in December while i go enjoy my grad trip!

IBrew Challenge 2008

The IBrew challenge 2008 was held on 23rd Aug @ East Coast part (near the food center). It was a chance for homebrewers to showcase their work and meet up with fellow homebrewers as well! Being one that just started (about 5 months) I attended to not only try out other beers but talk/network with other brewers as well. And fortunately I got to meet the brewers from Brewerkz (Scott), Archipelago (Fal) and Reddot (Ernest)!

NDP 2008 Gathering - Chestnutties again!

For this year NDP, I had a gathering at my place with some of the Chestnutties (The group of ppl I stayed with during my time in Philadelphia)

Managed to whip up a few dishes + provide the BEER. It was a potluck/ cook-at-Adrian’s-home session, but the only person who cooked (besides me) was Pacey, he did some Spring Rolls.

Been a while since I met with with them so its great to see everyone again!

Muahaha… only 2 modules… ok trying to get 1 more but that is really down to luck now. Pretty much burnt every point I had on Soci of food.
