Komen Charity Run in Philadelphia

By arzhou | May 18, 2009

Really slow on the updates, but that’s how life is. On the 10th I headed down to Philadelphia to take part in the annual Komen Race for the Cure. Held every mother’s day in Philadelphia (happy Mother’s day Ma!).

Went there with Val and Wai (both from my company) as it was sort of an annual thing for Wai.

Overall the 5km run was really nice and smooth, great way to see Philly, you get to go past City Hall, run past the Schuylkill river, 30th Street Station and start/end at the Art Museum.

Photos!

Hey hey! Philadelphia looks like a nice place (although when I was there 2 years ago there was a crime rate problem with everyone killing everyone?). Anywayz! Just wanted to say YOU LOOK LIKE YOU LOST WEIGHT!! You been working out? :P

    Hey Adrian ,

I’m writing to you on behalf of the Creators of Tomorrow (CoT), which are a group of fun engineers looking to change the way engineering is percieved. I’ve chanced upon your blog and I realised it gave a very down to earth view of what studying engineering is like, and this would definitely benefit anyone looking to study engineering in the future.
There’s a challenge going on right now called Create2010 for secondary school and junior college students, with the top prize being a 5 day, all expenses paid trip to BMW world in Munich, Germany.

While I realise that you may not be in school anymore, I thought this might still be something of interest to you and your readers as they may be interested in reading engineering. Phase 1 of the contest has already ended, those winners had a chance to meet the F1 drivers from BMW today. Please contact me if you’re interested at the email above! Thanks.

    Hi there,

Thanks very much for your interesting blog. It’s always nice to see how people on the other side of the globe live, how they share the same joys and sorrows, what they do in their free time, etc.

I actually have a question about your blog. Would you mind helping us with a linguistic research project? We’re compiling data from various Singaporean weblogs. All it requires is checking a few boxes. If you want to take part and/or have more questions, drop me a note ( hack2301@uni-trier.de RE: Question ) so that I can then send you the ‘official’ project eMail. We’d really appreciate your help.

    Thanks very much in advance!
    Best regards,
    – Fran

PS: thumbs up for doing the charity run!
