Ping.sg outing @ Taj Samudra + Desserts at The Dome

Been quite sometime since I last met up with fellow pingsters for an outing as I was rather busy this semester.
This weekend it just seemed like a pretty good chance as I had the Sunday afternoon free. Morning was a Bukit Timah Hill climb in which SOMEONE overslept and no showed(shall not mention who).
It was a really good chance to meet up with the newer pingsters whom I did not get a chance to really interact with on the shoutbox or ping.sg forums since I rarely pop by ping for an extended period of time . We met up at Farrer Park MRT before heading down to Taj Samudra in little india. It was this place that served Indian food buffet at about$10.50++ (Total was $12.75 pax)
Those who were present for lunch (besides me) were Daphne, Champagne, Uray, Ironicgamer, Chillycraps and our super early arrival champion Jzin. Malique and Rinaz arrived much later after I had finished 2 rounds of buffet. Overall the food was alright, I liked the fact it was pretty cheap, just that we were pretty unlucky that the area we sat in had a SPOILT aircon so everyone was sort of feeling the heat (both curry and temperature).
Interesting things that happened over lunch:
1) Somehow we were discussing that guys and girls shirt had buttons on different sides and daphne started checking her buttons. It really burned my poor innocent eyes, that imagery…. NTT would have to agree when she demonstrated it to him the whole incident on the MRT
2) As mentioned on CC’s blog, Daphne said she wanted ice and suddenly a delivery man walked in with this big bag of ice.

After lunch we adjourned over to the Dome @ Park Mall (Not before walking all over Plaza Singapura trying to find somewhere to eat dessert, finally NTT just suggested it. This time round even more pingsters joined us. NTT, Wendy, Priss, Xizor, DK, Jean and Robert. The total number was pretty large for a ping.sg outing. As usual me and NTT kept talking about our Tiramisu throwdown which seems to be in the planning stage for over a year? The desserts at the Dome was alright, the brownies were actually good, but I was not satisfied with their tiramisu (mine is probably better heh). I liked the coffee, but that Coffee place at 6th avenue is probably the best I been to so far (pricey though)
Anyway it was great to meet up with the new faces on ping.sg, it is really a good sign that the community is growing and new members are joining the old birds (like old man xizor) for meetups. Pity I could not join for more regular meetups these days.

Oh, the button conversation was because I noticed Jzin’s shirt buttons. It had red threads on them when normally a light coloured men’s shirt would have white thread on them instead.
Then he started telling about how the position of a man’s button and a woman’s button was different to each other
