Making Turkey Porridge

By arzhou | January 21, 2008

Another really belated post. This was done right after the xmas party i had. Since there was alot of left over turkey, the best option is to use it for turkey porridge, you make use of the turkey meat and its bones. Of course, to make the porridge, you need turkey broth.

Step 1) Strip the turkey of its meat: The most fun part of this recipe you get to be a real savage and just rip the turkey with your bare hands! The meat will be used in the porridge.

Step 2) Put the bones in a big pot, throw in vegs like carrots, onions, celery etc etc

Turkey Bones

Turkey Broth

Step 3) Cover with water. Boil for 4-6 hours. Small boil, that means low bubbling, you do not what too vigorous action.

Step 4) Broth is complete! You can now use it to make the porridge. Just boil rice using the broth and some water. Add the turkey meat. DONE
