Burgler breaks in AGAIN to leave a sorry note

By arzhou | September 1, 2007

Apparantly a thief had a change of heart when he broke into the house. After making off with a $1200 laptop, a camera and a wallet containing an American Express credit card, he decided to return everything including a sorry note with a promise to pay for the broken window. He even added in the items that was purchased with the stolen credit card.

Picture of the letter:

sorry note 1

“First and formost you will never know how sorry I am that I violated the safety and security of your home. I have never written fewer words when i say that I wish I had never done this to your famil. These items were all that have been taken and have been returned to you. The items that you see but do not recognize have been bought with your money and so they are now yours. When I have enough money I will deposit it in your mailbox.”

I am not sure how true it can be, but considering that it was featured in the newspapers in NZ, it should be rather true
