Happy National Day - Celebrating With Songs
By arzhou | August 9, 2007
Once again, Singapore celebrates its National Day, its 42nd to be precise. As with all national days, we often hear the various national day songs playing on the radio, on TV (not watching much TV though). The Theme song for the year will be totally overplayed as always heh.
Anyway somehow I always felt classics like Stand up for Singapore, Count on me Singapore, One People One Nation One Singapore, always sound nicer, stick to you more (perhaps too much singing of it back in School). But somehow those songs do raise more emotions then the current songs. In fact, sometimes I wonder is there really a need to introduce a new song every year? The current songs are already nice.
Anyway here is a bunch of MTVs from youtube on various National Day songs or songs related to National Day. (Thanks to some of the pingsters for posting the links on the shoutbox)
