Ping.sg Gathering(28.07.07) + Post gathering coffee + Post post gathering coffee Dinner + Post post post gathering coffee dinner coffee again

Finally just got back from the Ping.sg gathering on 28th July 2007@Clarity Cafe. Rather long day since there was a post gathering coffee@starbuck, followed by a post starbucks dinner @ zam zam, followed by a post zam zam coffee@TCC.
I was a really nice gathering, with new members showing up! Woot!!! Some of the blogposts that I have found already talking about the gathering:
I was rather pissed in the morning while preparing cookies for the gathering as the brand new oven in my house was causing multiple electrical trips… which really pissed me off. Had to switch to my mum’s convection oven and get used to its heating system which screwed up my timings. But hopefully the pingsters enjoyed the cookies :p (SORRY about the quality if you think it is bad!!!)
I am really glad that this time the outing was not just the usual faces but newer folks as well. It is a really really encouraging sign for the community. The next event… i think it cannot be at any cafe… would not be able to accomodate. Also the long table issue comes into play where it is not easy to talk to everyone unless we really play musical chairs. Perhaps as DK suggested… a potluck Picnic will be the next best idea.
As Daphne mentioned on her blog, the food at the place was ok, but not fantastic, I found my fish to be a bit dry but not that bad la… but anyway it is NOT about the food, but about the fun ppl of ping.sg. It was great getting to meet the newer people although I did not get much chance to talk to everyone, my apologies for that, perhaps at the next outing? *wink* But I guess when there is a big outing, sometimes it is not possible to talk to and get to know everyone. Anyway was great talking to everyone, and @nannywen…. FOReverquest still sucks :p (but see you and sheylara in WAR :p… maybe ethan too?)
After the gathering a bunch of us headed to shaw tower starbucks (we wanted to watch simpsons there initially but there was no show), we were joined by Rinaz who showed up really really last minute and also by NTT who arrived at 6pm.
After coffee we adjourned to Zam Zam for Mutarbak and stuff, DK, Rinaz loves that place. And I understand why after trying their Mutarbak, its really nice!!! Nice and thick, lots of meat, unlike some places where it is merely a prate with stuff sprinkled on it. I will definitely go back there again.
Finally, the 4 musketeers of Dk, NTT, Ridz and Arzhou went to bugis TCC for the final coffee (Since NTT was in need of a caffine booster). There we chated about stuff like the time in NUS where this guy declared his love for this gal and we were trying to find the video of that incident (yes we are kaypoh).
After that we headed home :p (man what a lame ending but yea)
